How much money did you send them? I'm not sure how it works in Spain, but in the US, I believe if someone steals more than $1000 from you, it is no longer considered a private offense, but a criminal offense. At this point, it becomes the government's job to pursue and prosecute the offender at no cost to you.

For future reference, you may want to steer away from sending people money directly and use an insured business partner. If you are buying from an obscure website and they cannot accommodate PayPal or another trusted payment client, just buy the product from another website. I'm sure you could find a GPS at low price from Amazon.com, who most definitely accepts PayPal.

As for the money you've lost, the best thing you can do for now is to be a good citizen and make other people aware of the scams that the aforementioned business is running. There are companies, such as the Better Business Bureau, which allow people to submit complaints or testimonials. Let people know that the website you purchased from is a fake, and to not buy from there.

Let's just hope that these people aren't thieves but just bad businessmen who are delayed in mailing you your product.

I didn`t recieve their email that they sent for me explain this.
