I bought this dvd yesterday and finally saw the movie for the first time. While watching it, I saw the A3 and thought, wtf...that's an A3...then I remembered that there was a thread here about this movie and totally forgot about it....car looked good in it

 

I just rented the movie too. I heard there was an A3, but I was surprised at the color. I really don't think it is Lava Grey. Later I even went through and did the slow motion in the two scenes where it was at....and I swear it's either Murano Green or Ocean Blue. It's weird how it's hard to tell the exact color because of the lighting, but if you do the slow motion I think it really isn't Lava Grey, it would appear a lot darker.

Additionally, the A4 Cabriolet was featured in James L. Brooks' comedy Spanglish. In 2003, the Reese Witherspoon hit comedy Legally Blonde 2 featured a custom pink TT Roadster. My last car was Lava Gray (actually called Graphite Metallic, 05 Chrysler Crossfire). That color is very beautiful, but I definitely wanted some change..."black, the most beautiful car, when it's clean".

If you're careful and use the right equipment, those swirl marks stay to a minumum.

And I've never seen a girl look very closey at the paint to see if there are smirl marks. I think the girl(s) is just going to be excited to ride in an Audi .

 

There was also the beginning of The Matrix Reloaded - Smit pulled up in an Audi with the license plate IS 5416. Beautiful scene and references.
