I was trying to remember how long I've had the car. I would have thought a 90 day trial was what I would have gotten, but I got the car in October. Seems like sirius was working for me a couple weeks ago, just haven't checked. So it sounds like I got six months. My car was an ordered car, so I'm not sure how Sirius was ever activated for me...

Yes, so I've heard. I just spent that much on getting this roof rack sent over...

If you check you should have channels 0 (SID) , 1, 15, 20, 21, 28, 31, 40, 71, 80, 101, 105, 121, 184 active, that will determine your status.

Hey, another A3 inTahoe? I thought I was the only one! If you see a Lava Grey 3.2Q, honk! Ah well, I only have another week in Tahoe anyway then the ski season is over and I move back to the Bay[&o] Good looking on the mileage! I regularly commute to SF on the weekend to hang out, visit friends, etc and I only average about 25mpg per trip. I wonder if that's the Quattro. As for the Sirius, I had to activate it myself and I have a few weeks left on my trial. I liked it okay, but not enough to spend $18/month.

I be curious to find out if non-mmi Sirius radio on new A3, and A4's goes to disabled mode or demo mode after trial. I'm guessing it will be disabled but stranger things have happened.

I would have honked...or waved.

I did get passed by this super fast car on the way home, back through Sacramento. It was a bright red Audi A3! Kinda cool. I then followed them from a distance, at speed, for 40 miles or so. That is a fun drive from Tahoe to San Fran. It could be monotonous, but with and A3 life is good.

Hope you got some good snow that last weekend. No doubt your 3.2 is the mileage factor more than your quattro is.

Ebay the sirius radio. I sold my non-nav compatible radio for $230ish. Makes good mod money!

Isn't yanking the Sirius radio more trouble than the couple hundred dollars one could obtain for selling it? Removal leaves a hole in the console that must be replaced with another radio. Besides, what if one decides they want to sell the car, wouldn't it be advantageous to tell a prospective buyer it has a factory Sirius radio and just requires a simple subscription?

The Sirius radio is located on the side of the trunk, not in dash. As I said earlier new A3's and A4's with non-mmi Sirius radios might play 15 channels indefinitely if never subscribed. (either customer demo or subscription). Your right it would be it advantageous to tell a prospective buyer it has a factory Sirius radio and just need to be activated by subscription.

Hi JohnS1-

Thanks for the clarification. That makes it easier to understand why one would opt to sell the Sirius radio. [8D]
