Hi A3 brothers;
Some friends and I had a conversation the other night about turbo boost and other engine numbers with cars. I noticed that the A3's specs state that max boost is 1.8 bars - doing rough math with rought 14.5 PSI ber bar - that makes it 26.1 PSI max boost.
Which of course caused some doubt about those numbers.
But, what I was wondering: What is the average boost numbers for a "factory straight" A3 2T. Please help, this may have a few beers riding on it.

 

I think stock boost is around 10-12 psi with a tune it spikes to around 20. Im not 100% sure though.

 

That sounds about right - the dealer told me I should be peaking around 10 psi. I just grinned when he told me my car was peaking at 21 psi.
