Actually it is $7,395 for my car. But that is KBB does not take into account the market for 1.8T 5 speeds. This car draws a higher price on average than say the 2.8 automatic or even the 1.8t auto.
KKB price for my car if it was an auto is $7,695 however, the market price for my car as an automatic is over $1,000 less than that. And if my car was auto and 2.8 it would be $8,690. I think I have the car priced correctly. KBB does not take into account the market and the relative rarity of A4 1.8t 5 speeds.

actually KBB pricing is based off of actual sales reported to the secretary of state in any given area (thats why you have to put in your zip code, and also why prices change from area to area), obviously averaged out with mileage/options/etc, but it is the most accurate pricing tool available at this time, since it is based off of what people are actually paying/getting paid for that car, in that area... most dealerships/used car lots use nadaguides to price their cars, so expect to get a few thousand LESS than their average retail, which is 7,000 on the dot, so somewhere around 4-5K, trading a car into a dealership NEVER yeilds as much profit as selling it on your own, the only good reason to do it is for extra incentives you get for buying another car from that same dealer, otherwise you are just losing out on money... FYI KBB's trade in on your car in exellent condition is only 5K dollars, and newer parts mean nothing to a dealership, they work off of crunching numbers, not "selling points", new brakes and tires wont up their buying price at all since they could buy the same car for the same price, and put brakes/tires on it for REALLY cheap, then turn around and sell it for more profit than had they "haggled" with you over the price...

anyway, i am VERY interested in your car, where in MI do you live (i'm in MI as well), i'd like to come take a look at and test drive it, i'm wrapping up the sale on my current DD and in the market for an A4... but obviously i'm not going to pay what you expect to get out of it, its a nice car and all but you want waaay to much money...
