Rare 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro
Rare car – less than 1,500 imported to U.S. in 1990, 1991. $2,000.00
Late build 1990 with airbag.
Low miles – about 115,000. One owner since new. Non-smoker.
Car runs very well. Great ski car and long distance cruiser. No rust. Seat heat works. Sunroof works. Windows work. Thermostat works. Leather in good condition.
I’ve put almost $3,000 into this car in the past couple of years. It’s been my daily driver and I’ve wanted to get everything working. I love this car and I hate to sell it, but I recently moved and now don’t have the room for a second car.
New A/C compressor installed summer ’08. A/C blows strong and cool. R134 converted.
New front brake pads and rotors. New rear pads.
All new tires within the last year – Dunlop SP Sport.
New fuel filter.
Aftermarket Hella driving lights in place of stock fogs.
Bilstein sport shocks up front.
What’s not perfect…
Car has a salvage title. I had a small fuel fire under the hood that was extinguished very quickly. Fried Wiring harness only. Repaired by one of best Audi shops in Socal. This was a known factory defect in fuel lines. Fuel lines replaced.
Timing belt needs to be done.
Paint is oxidized and front of car was repainted after new hood was installed. Car was parked by construction site and hood was damaged. Windshield original and in good condition.
Brakes a bit spongy.
Vacuum system doesn’t work, so cruise control is inoperative. Typical for CQs this age.
Electric door lock circuit breaker pulled. It’s connected to car alarm.
Overall, body is in good condition. A couple small dings, but nothing major.
