Your buddy really seemed to like blue.

 

Not too much interest? Maybe that's because your buddy is asking 10 grand over the blue book value. Good luck with the sale though. If it doesn't sell to a forum member, your friend should consider parting it out. He'll probably be able to make far more money that way.

 

Well considering that the extras add well over 10 grand to the blue book value.... I think its a steal. I am sure he will be willing to sell it for anything close to 30 grand.... parting out is not really an option.

just so you know extra's dont add ****. No matter how much you do it it'll still be at blue book for a car in possibly "excellent" condition, depending on how good the installs were on the parts. There is NEVER a return on investment for cars unless it's a classic buddy, sorry.

That said, if i had extra money sittin around i'd def buy it cause it's a sick ride.

 

yeah mods actually decrease the value, but if you find someone who wants those mods and is useful to them then you can make some of it back.

 

mods add no value. Mainly decrease value. And what was your friend thinking? suede blue interior, Gross

 

That interior is stock, I believe.... the blue wheels are not, however. [:'(]

Easy enough to change though! And yeah... mods definately don't help the value... I mean, on a forum they might... but 10K of mods might snag you an extra 2500 over bluebook... maybe.

 

The only draw back to buying a car that has already had work done, usually means the car was driven hard. The logic behind this is that no one would actually increase the power if they weren't going to take advantage of it. If they just wanted to have power just for the sake of having it, then they would just lie and say they had it and be just as happy as before, but would also be $10,000 wealthier in this specific case. But yeah, any modifications usually causes the car to bring a lower value. And also modifications to the engine usually decrease reliablity and life especially on turbo cars, which seem to be prone to somesort of failure.
