I am selling my beloved Audi A3 with 55k miles located in Seattle, WA. I purchased this vehicle as a certified pre-owned in Feb 2010 in Las Vegas at an Audi dealership, and have driven it about 25k miles trouble free highway miles over the last 18 months. The car has been dealer serviced and is up to date on all maintenance, and tags are good until March / 2012. I am working from home now and do not need a commuter car. I started doing a lot of camping and backpacking and needed a 4x4 SUV. To my knowledge, I know of no problems with the A3 and everything works as it should. I get a very solid 26-30+ mpg highway, and about 24 mpg city.

These are the 'modifications' I've made:

- Upgraded stock 17 spoke wheels to custom 2004 Audi A4 stock wheels professionally painted black
- Windows professionally tinted "medium" all around with ceramic tints. Rear window tinted dark with ceramic tints. I could pull the exact percentages if need be. Tint job was about $400 if I remember correctly. Ceramic tints do not interfere with GPS systems.

I am asking $18,500 or best offer. As part of the price of the vehicle, I will include:

Pre-owned vehicle inspection from Audi ($200 value)
Professional detail ($300 value)

I wanted to get this ad up, so here are some super quick pictures I took. I haven't been able to have the car washed in the last few weeks. The car looks a ton better than the pictures indicate and I will be re-posting better pictures in the next few days.

 

Your asking price for a used 2nd owner 2007 A3 is about $7k too high....you can buy a CPO auto transmission with less milage for less than your asking price.....I would suggest you reconsider you asking price.

 

Maybe if it was a 2007 with 155k miles on it. I have 55k miles on it. And CPOs with 70k miles are going for $22-24k locally. I also did my homework and contacted other Audi A3 sellers that were able to sell their vehicles. $18.5k with the extras I am throwing in (professional detail, Audi pre-purchase vehicle inspection) is reasonable. Kelly Blue Book is $18.6k. I've also been lowballed at $15k and $16k already.

Also, there's not a huge price difference between the manual transmission and DSG. I personally flew to Vegas to buy my A3 because it had a manual transmission. The manual on the A3 is an absolute beautiful thing to drive. I've driven manual transmissions all of my life and I've never had a better 6-speed. Once I get my life settled down a bit and I'm commuting to work, I have my heart set on a A5/S5 with a 6-speed manual.

Sorry for the rant. I love manual gearboxes. I don't understand why anyone would settle for anything less But then again, I am a bit biased.
