FS: 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 5-Spd! SOLD!
Posting thisfor a very good friend and fellow Audi Enthusiast (he's had 4 and I've had 4 too)... for answers to any and all of your questions, call him (Rick)at 201-893-1727. His email address is rlellis@optonline.net (he's the better person to answer your questions but, I can help with some if you wish). Here are the particulars:
1998 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro
113,500 miles (average is a normal 12,612 miles per year)
Silver/Black
Heated Front Seats
Bose
Moonroof
Sirius Satellite Radio
Trunk Mounted Factory 6-Disc CD Changer
5-Spd Manual Transmission
VIN is WAUED28DXWA132356
Interior is in very good shape (looks likeit has a50Kish mileage interior), just needs new floor mats and a detail. 1 or 2 of thealloy wheelsare slightly curbed. Rear bumper clearcoat is peeled (visible in pic). One door trim from each side of thecar needs to be replaced (they're in the trunk if you want to try repairing the tabs). Some trim from under the passenger side bumper is hanging down slightly. Couple of minor scratches here and thereand a parking lot ding or two here and there as well. Mechanically, it needs a new headgasket (approximately $600 job from an independant mechanic). As you can see, the paint other than on the back bumper is in very good condition. Use the many pictures provided asa furtherguide to the car's condition.
New clutch and timing belt were installed at 82K miles. Water pump just put in... when his mechanic told him the HG needed to be replaced, he hadhis mechanic stop doing any further workas he doesn't reallyneed a 3rd car (has an Allroad andanML350 too). The bottom line is this...spend $750 or so (head gasket job and door trim) and end up with a $6K-$7K car (conservatively speaking). He wants to complete the finishing ofhis basement with the proceeds of the sale. The vehicle isLocated in Northern New Jersey (Waldwick, NJ) and will need to be picked up via tow truck/transporter truck. No exceptions! He will not allow the car to be driven away.No Warranty/As-Is but, everything works as it should other than the aforementioned head gasket.
