I’m putting up my beloved 2006 A6 4.2 V8 for sale. This car has been very well cared for and garage kept during my ownership (1 lease before me). It has just over 88k miles and is rarely driven at this point.

Within the last few years, it’s had a few major parts replaced:
- Head gaskets
- Cam solenoid seals (L/R)
- Valve cover banks (1/2)
- Radiator + hoses
- Timing chain
- Intake manifold + valley pan
- Brake pads + rotors (F/R)
- Sway bar endlinks
- Upper control arms
- Coolant expansion tank + temp sensor

The rest of the car is stock except for a few additions:
- 245/45ZR-17 Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires (6mm tread)
- Dension Gateway 500 (allows you to play music from USB/iPod/Aux through the MMI)
- Lojack
- Rubber floor mats (I still have the fabric ones if that’s your style)
- 2012/2013 Navigation DVD (I even have the originals if you want to time travel)

There is only one known issue: the driver side door lock cylinder needs to be replaced. It will unlock the car but won’t lock it. Since the car has keyless entry/start, I’ve never felt the need to have this fixed (it’s not cheap since you have to go through a dealer). The rear bumper has typical city car damage from when the car was parked in a valet lot. You’d think they would know how to obey the radar...

At the moment it’s running smoothly after its last service about a month ago. Of course, I’ve kept every single bit of its maintenance history. I also have its full carfax (no accidents) available and I’m happy to take additional pictures upon request.
