Am I getting a bad deal?

RE: Am I getting a bad deal?
Haha Thanks naudi.
As much as I really want that Audi, it's hard to deny that it'll be a tough one to maintain. I do wanna learn but time just isn't always on my hands. Couldn't of came up with a better comparison haha.
But yeah, if my parents say yeah I'll go for it regardless and make time to learn. If not, maybe my dad could get me a car early for my senior year. Idk, thanks for the advice though. I'll let you know what happens.

RE: Am I getting a bad deal?
Good to hear you are approaching it with the right attitude. By the way, if you do get the Audi, I would immediately get on the Audiworld.com forums and get to know the A4 guys there. Some are jerks but alot want to help you fix things. Hell, in the 80/90 forum where I lurk people know loads about the A4's. But again those forums have been critical in my understanding and ability to fix my 1995 Audi 90 Quattro. Audiforums and Audiworld are great forums to be a part of.I have met some pretty cool guysin my area willing to teach me all things Audi.
Again good luck whatever you finally decide.

RE: Am I getting a bad deal?
I heard it was a good car, I heard it had some style
And so I came to buy one, and drive it for a while
And there it was, a german, a lot of fun to drive
Premium fuel in my gas tank
Wrecking my soul with repairs
Killing me softly with four rings
Killing me softly with four rings
Spending my income on repairs
Killing me softly with four rings
I'm 24 and have wanted an Audi since I was able to drive... I almost bought a 99' A4 2.8Q with 67K miles for$13000when I was 18 and in HS... Long story short I didnt buy it although I had put a down payment on it etc.. Just wasnt the right time for me. I ended up getting a 94' Firebird with 62K for $4000which was good to me for about 4 years with basically no problems.. I probably put no more then $1200 into it over the four years. Dec 06' I bought my first Audi and I was happier then a pig in sh*t... It's a 1999.5 2.8Q Silver w/ black leather loaded. It had 72K when i bought it for $9700 after talking the owner down from $10900. He had all records just changed the timing belt, water pump and was the first owner. So I've had it for going on 8 months now and I've already spent $3000 in repairs... I've changed 3 barings, both control arms, CV joint, ABS module, Aux fan, and basic oil changes (synthetic only!)etc.. Im not saying that i wasnt ready for all this but just be aware that most Audi's need constant care... naudi90 put it well when he said "like a high maintenance girlfriend". Goodluck with whatever you decide to do... I love my car regardless of cost... SOOO FUN TO DRIVE

RE: Am I getting a bad deal?
Well, update on the car.
I didn't get it. Mostly my parents decision but part of me knows that it wouldn't be a good car for me right now. But yeah, I have a long time to get my hands on one and I'll be back here when I do haha
