I have a '97 A4 1.8t. White, black leather interior. It's in pretty good condition but there is a couple of things. One, when I replaced the catalytic converter on it there was one gasket missing, this does not affect the car in anyway but it of coarse means there is a small exhaust leak which is noticible to the ear when driving but could easily be fixed. Also about 6 months ago the reverse went out on the transmission. There is no damage to the transmission. The reverse came back as soon as the transmission was regularly serviced. But, the transmission itself was not replaced or worked on. It has had no problems since this. Runs fine, visually on the outside it is in good condition, never wrecked or repaired. The interior is in good condition as well. It has around 83,000 miles on it and has always been serviced regulary since I've had it(2years). I would get the leak fixed before I sell it but I need the money and would rather just get it sold which is why I'm asking such a good price. Also it is lowered 1.8 inches but I do have the stock springs to raise it back up. Great breaks, done not too long ago and rotors. Tires have around 1000 miles on them.

im lookin into buyin a A4. how much are you asking and can you provide a little more info on whats wrong with the tranny? So the car does go in reverse now? stick, auto, or semi-auto?
