Title isssue. Great parts car but need to sell whole, don't have space or place to part out. This is a 2000 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8 Turbo very healthy engine, cold ac, good leather interior no rips, pwr windows, pwr locks, keyless entry, auto with tiptronic, good tires and rims from an 2002 passat with more than 50% thread. I bought this car about 1 1/2 ago for my son, the car had a bad transmission and replaced it with a freshly rebuilt transmission as well as the tcu ( transmission control unit ) I'm over 4k into this car only to find out the title given to me by the previous owner is no good, because there was a duplicate title issued 2mo after which voids my title. I cannot find the previous owner to give me the good title, and the car has just sat all this time. I can no longer wait and it needs to go. Last time I started the car everything still works except I noticed it's in limp mode don't know why maybe just from sitting so long, don't know don't care just want it gone. Best offer takes it, we all know how much all parts are worth

 

How about 1st $1200 takes it. Tranny alone was 1700 I'm in Orlando fl

 

I dont know how your state works but I live in Michigan and if you have a title for a vehicle and someone apply's for a duplicate title the original title will always be that the original. If a duplicate title is issued its of no use if your title was issued first. I would question every bit of this.

 

I filled a form at the dmv than sends a letter to the previous owner known addresses, but have had no answer. The next step is at the dmv again to file a court order than I get the title. I just did not want to spend another penny.
