1998 Audi A4 1.8T 5 Speed, AWD Quattro - North New Jersey
Hello All,
I've never actually registered on this forum, but I have lurked for quite a while throughout the years and appreciate all of the great info that's here.
I have owned this car since late 2008 and have meticulously maintained it as you can see by the list of items below that were replaced due to wear or as a preventative measure. I am a mechanical engineer so I pay attention to detail and have a folders worth of records. The previous owner was a teacher who had it for a short time and the owner before that purchased the car in Florida which is where it spent the first handful of years. The car is essentially rust free.
There are only a few issues -- The driver's seat has some cracks in it (see pictures), and the cruise control doesn't work, which only happened within the last year or so. Mechanically the engine is pretty sound, but it does r burn a little bit of oil. I will usually put in an extra quart in between oil changes. I had the PDF file of the factory manual if you'd like it.
As for the title - It has a lien on in. The lien was payed off in 2010 and I have the letter from the lender proving this. As far as registering, it's simply a matter of bringing this letter along with the title to the Motor Vehicle, and they will register it without any issue, just as you would any other car.
I only am parting with the car because I have grown out of it and needed something a bit larger. If I had the space, I would certainly rather keep it. It has the glove box manuals, spare tire, jack, etc.
I will also include a OBDII reader than can connect to any non-IPhone via Bluetooth. IPhones don't have the bluetooth stack to allow for serial communication for some reason.
Quick features:
Faux Leather Seats
5 Speed, All Wheel Drive with tires in great condition.
The A/C Works and blows cold
4 Cylinder -- 1.8 Turbo (Just as it came from the factory)
Bose Stereo system
6 CD Changer -- In the trunk
I've installed a permanent AUX cord (Made use of the tape player) so any device can be connected for music.
Engine code is AEB
Thank you for taking a look! Please go ahead and shoot me an email and I will answer any questions you may have.
