98 Avant for sale. Moving to Hawaii. 2.8 30 valve 5 speed. 175k. Needs TB at 200k. Comes with studded nokians on steels, good tread left. Summer tires are brand new. Has an oil leak at crank seal. Cracked the oil pan and had it welded but the weld didn't hold. I have a new pan and gasket that I don't have time to install. I will be flying out on the 9th. Looking for $4000

 

I'm no mechanic, so what would it cost to have those parts installed? I'm looking for an Avant now, but just purchased 98 A6 for the wife with fewer miles for less. Nice looking car, but need to know estimated cost of repairs.

 

The oil pan should be an hour of labor. Its very easy to get to. Timing belts on these cars run from 700 to 900 or more at the dealer.
