MAINTENANCE

All maintenance has been done @ Mazda Masters and Rotor Sport (http://rotorsport2.com/) and the following was done by previous owner prior to me purchasing the car on 12/23/2005

*Motor - good compression on all faces, about 18 in of vacuum

*New OEM Oilpan
*New T-Stat
*New turbo coolant hoses
*New battery
*Bushings replaced recently and were inspected to still be in great condition
*Brakes still in good condition
*Oil changed frequently @ RotorSport (Royal Purple or Mobil 1 depending on what was available)OEM filters/OEM plugs)
*New OEM Fuel Pulsation Dampener

KNOWN PROBLEMS/NEGATIVES

*Oil leak (Oil pan was resealed when replaced, so it’s not that, and various seals have been replaced, I’m still working on tracking down the leak)
*Rear hatch needs to be repainted, previous owner removed the spoiler that was on there and covered the holes with plugs temporarily
*Engine bay is still Montego Blue (Door jambs, hatch area, and other conceivable places were painted)

CONTACT INFO

The car is located in Los Gatos, CA 95032. If you have any questions, offers, or details you need cleared up PM me, I am on this forum often.

GENERAL

The asking price is $20,000. I am fairly firm at the moment, but I’ll see what kind of interest I get and go from there. I am willing to lower the price down to $18,000 with the wheels taken off. I do not have stock wheels, so I will have to find and purchase a set of wheels (around a $500 cost on my part for good condition wheels and tires)

Any other parts removals, would be very time consuming and I’d have to consider it carefully, but like I said, I'm willing to work with buyers and will find a way to make it work, if you're close to my asking price and I am able to attain the stock pieces. Be aware I will need a non-refundable deposit before I part anything out.

In general: PLEASE don’t inquire about the car if you don’t have the means or desire to purchase it. PLEASE don’t ask questions in my thread that you can find yourself. PLEASE don’t ask me to part it down to a rolling chassis, or some other outlandish request. PLEASE don’t leave messages like “Will you drop the price? I have $12,000 in hand!” PLEASE don’t tell me to call you if I’m interested in your offer, take some initiative and show me you’re a serious buyer and I’ll return the favor by showing you I’m a serious seller. PLEASE don't tell me what KBB says my car is worth, and on that note I am aware that sports cars sell for more during the summer and I will not be low balled, this is what the car is worth to me and I am perfectly able to continue supporting this hobby. This is a sale of preference, not an 'I need money fast' thread.

Test drives will be given at my discretion (in other words no joy rides), and I may have requirements that prove you are a serious buyer or have the means to purchase the car.

For those that want to know why I’m selling, it’s basically because this car has consumed a lot of my time and money. While I do love my RX-7, I’ve reached a point in my life where at this time I simply don’t have the time for it. I’m also needing something more practical for daily driving and work.

I am a very reputable seller on this forum and have completed some transactions with zero problems. Everything stated is the cars condition to the best of my knowledge. If you have any issues or concerns please make sure they are worked out before purchase.

Thanks for looking,
-Brian

Nice car but your price is way high. I dont think you are going to get what you want here. Try www.nopistons.com or www.rx7club.com .

Miles are stated in the statement above

*105k miles odometer reading, 35k on remanufactured engine

PFC is on a base map, there has been no tune for it. I was looking to upgrade the injectors/fuel pump and then getting a tune.

I am the 3rd owner. The two other owners took great care of the car as you can see how it looks today.

The previous owner that I bought the car from is a co-owner of FDNewbie Imports, a company that imports FD components to the States for sale.

It has a clean history and all.

I have all paper work that has been done to the car by me and the two other owners. Body work/paint, maintence, oil changes, purchases.

Very nice car. I am a FC guru myself but this FD is VERY nicely done. Very clean. I would say price isn't that far off. Maybe a tad high. But RX-7's are going for alot these days. It is extremelt rare to find one done right like this one is. Good luck with the sale. Not that you should need it.
