1980 Audi 5000S Sedan 5 speed DIESEL non – turbo MICHIGAN
1980 Audi 5000S Sedan 5 speed DIESEL non – turbo.
Hard To Find! Very Collectable!

Non-turbo 5 cylinder Volkswagen diesel engine.

Full size, matching spare tire & wheel

THE GOOD:
This car runs and drives great…Engine and transmission are strong… good clutch, doesn’t burn oil, no leaks, good battery, new alternator, water pump, glow plugs and block heater. It drives straight and smooth. Starts right up with just a puff of smoke. Brakes, exhaust, tires,all good. Car isundercoated... clean & rust free underneath.Solid body, original paint... It’s a solid, dependableold Audithat would be a real gem with minimal effort. I would drive this car anywhere!This would make a great biodiesel or WVO car... super simple & dependable engine & drive train. We are non-smokers.
THE BAD:
It does need some minor work…all superficial. I will list everything I know of that it needs…please feel free to ask questions. Needs passenger front strut bearing(noisy on bumps but drives fine), outer tie rod ends (little loose, drives fine), 3 power window switches (only the drivers window works), rubber shifter boot (torn, have new one), cruise doesn’t work (vacuum actuator is bad), A/C doesn’t work (compressor works, but doesn’t blow cold), dash lights don’t work, passenger front inner door panel is missing it’s storage tray, dome light is broken above driver’s head, spare tire is flat, power door locks don’t work, passenger outer door handle is bad (door only opens from inside, have new one), a couple of small dents (see pic), and a couple of small rusty spots (see pics), cracked windshield.
This car is in great condition for it’s age... stored inside.
Gas mileage is around 30 - 35 mpg.
Great biodiesel car!
