i know that these are hard to find, but i'm not sure if there is a demand for them. i've got a jl audio stealthbox, equipped with 2- jl 8ib4's. it won't set off alarms, but it does provide a complete sound for your a4. as jl describes it:


Fits 1996-1999 Audi A4 Sedan

The A4 is a fabulous driver's car, but it isn't exactly a bass machine. The stock speaker locations are small and beg for support from a real subwoofer system.

Our Stealthbox for the A4 has been designed to reproduce bass powerfully, smoothly and accurately, without sacrificing trunk space and without cutting any holes in your automobile.

The Hard Data:
Contains two 8IB4 subwoofers in an enclosed infinite baffle setup. 150 Watt power handling. Can be wired for 8 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono. Attaches to bottom of rear deck with absolutely no cutting required. Sacrifices very little trunk space! Two 8-inch steel mesh grilles included. Will not fit '991/2-Up models.


this box came out of my 2001 a4. though it was not designed for models after '99, with a little trimming of the trunk panel (only on the driver's side), it will fit 2000-01 models. i trimmed my trunk liner and had to relocate the bose amp, but i did retain a majority of my trunk space. here is the box in the trunk of my a4. for any inquiries or more photos, email me at: markev11@hotmail.com.
