Default I was lead to believe I had serius

I called to have my Serius radio activated and I could not find the serial number when looking in the satelite options. I called the dealer and was told I did not have satelite radio. I distinctly remember being told it was Serius ready and if I had known it did not, it would have been a deal breaker or they put it in for free.

The unit costs about $500, and I am not happy at all. Can I go to a local place and have the module installed? I am not paying $500 for that POS. I already paid for the damn sound package, which I thought included it.

Any ideas other than kicking the salesman's ***?

the last bit sounds good but unfortunately unless you have it in print on the sale your out on a limb ( I would make a lot of noise at the dealers if they said it had it and it dosnt ) they might just sort it out through embarrassment

borrow all the kids from where you live for a dealer show and watch them buckle when the kids play with the cars

Unfortunately, "Sirius Ready" is a clever marketing ploy. Itsimply means, as youfound out already, that the headunit is Sirius Ready. Soooooowhen you're seriously ready (get it? ) to get satellite radio, you'll have to add the additional tuner; which willcost you some extra cheese.

Do one of two things. 1) b*tch to the dealer about this, maybe he'll cave and hook you up with the tuner, or 2) if they say, "sorry about your luck".....ditch the factory radio and get an aftermarket headunit AND a Sirius tuner for less than $500
