I had this 12" fiberglass box built for my 1987 4000 Quattro. It is about 1/2"- 3/4" thick and the thing pounds!! No problems hearing it through the gas tank or rear deck! The box cost $700. It drops snug into the right side compartment opposite the spare tire so it doesnt really take any room up. I no longer have the car so I hope one of you $KQ guys can use it!
