FS: ECU Chip 2001 A4 1.8TQM
The chip was purchased from INMOTION tuning, a company based in Austria. Asking $200for it. The chip is rated at 1 bar. Boost peaks at 16 PSI and steady at 13-14 psi. Will fit any 2001 Audi A4 1.8t QUATTRO, both manual and automatic transmission. I'm 90% sure it will even fit a FWD 2001A4 also.
I'm selling it because i'm upgrading to Stage2.I have had it in my car for only1 months now with no problems whatsoever, just perfect. The difference is immediately noticeable, especially 2nd gear torque.I highlyrecommendugrading your DV to al least a 710N. If you live in the Detroit area, we can meet up at VAST motors, they are agreat tuningshop. They'll install the chip for youin under 20 minutes. They'll even go on a ride with you while their lap-top is connected through your car'sVAG-COM, they'll show you your peak boost and RPM ratings.

I bought this chip for $250. Just because it's not GIAC or APR doesn't mean it's not good. both GIAC and APR started off as small companies just like WETT and INMOTION.
I'm not trying to make businessoff of thisthis chip.
I'll sell it for $175.

Is this just a chip I'd need mounted to my ECU? or is it everything I need to just plug in and go

This is the chip alone. It must besoldered onto your ECU. If you live in the detroitarea or are willing to drive here,I can take you to mytuner's garage @ Vastpoerformance. They can mount it for you.
BTW I'll take $150 and no lower. It's a win win situation for someone who's never had a chip. I loved it but am moving on to stage 2. K04 turbo, front mounted intercooler, and possiblya 3" exhaust.
$150 is the lowest i'm going, i'm firm on that.

Do you still have the chip and how much HP did you gain with it? How much would it cost me to get it installed? estimate anyway? I just picked up an 01 A4 1.8T Quattro and am loving it.. But would love to get more out of it too!
Thanks

Yes, I still have it. I had it installed for 50 dollars. The guy who installed it is the owner of VAST PERFORMANCE, it took only 15 minutes. He is a really cool guy, isn't looking to get money out of you.Afterinstallation he plugged his laptopthrough VAG-COM and did a free data log.
You will definately get more out of your car with this chip.
HP gains 40-45.
Torque gain 65-70 ft/lb
