Thumbs up **FS:K03s**

For sale, a 40k mile K03s (P/N 06A 145 713 D, K03-0053) with no fore/aft shaft play and all the required oil/coolant lines to get it mounted up. No broken studs, no stripped threads, it's a solid unit that happened to be a local find. I was going to attempt to put this on my 99.5 A4, so I bought the parts to convert this turbo to a long setup. Standard K03 comes with a inefficient 12 vane compressor that is 33.6mm, where a K03s is 38mm, even bigger than a k04's 35mm 12 vane compressor wheel. The k03s has an 8 blade compressor wheel that is set at a more aggressive pitch, resulting in engine efficiency improvements all over the power band. In some cases, this configuration can make the same power as a k04. Please note, this is a K03s from a transverse setup, but I have the parts to make this a longitudinal setup or even adapt to a different transverse application (oil and coolant lines, turbo inlet pipe hardware… you could prolly put this setup on an A3) or to mount on your A4 from a dying k03. true K03s P/N $275 complete and shipped, $225 k03s obo. Ok... complete newb question..

I've been reading the help stuff on here about turbos and such. I have a 99 A4 1.8Turbo and the stock turbo is on it and it is dying slowly. I'd like a replacement... maybe a little more boost for more fun. I've read the K03s is the way to go. What is entailed in replacing my stock with this one?

What is entailed in swapping mine for this one? What do you mean by this is a transverse setup? vs longitudinal setup? Thanks man... I'm interested.. .just need some info
