Default Water leaking into cabin

2002 allroad 2.8t, manual 6-speed. 61K miles. got it 2+ months ago.

since we've had it, we've had this problem 2 times, both after heavy rains.

water leaks into the cabin on both the driver and passenger side at foot level, seemingly from under the dash. had some torrential rains (i.e. 2 inches in 25 min.) on saturday, yesterday morning, the mat on the passenger side was saturated, and when i turned the car on, the ride height and ESP warnings were both solid. as i was driving, had water leaking onto my feet on the pedals. drove for 15 miles at 65 m.p.h., stopped the engine to get gas, started it up again, no warning lights.

here's my question: how do i prevent water from leaking into the engine compartment and thus the cabin when it rains? anyone else have a similar issue? am i going to need to cover my car always?

cheers.

sorry I have no idea what the cause of your problem is. Our 2005 Allroad 2.7t has performed flawlessly, i mean no issues at all, since we got it new. Ive never heard of an Audi with this problem before, sorry I cant help you. feel for you though that sucks

I've never had problems with my 03 2.7T AR. As per your 1st post, I doubt you have 2.8T. There were only 2 trims available; 2.7T and 4.2.

BTW, I saw your post on AUDIWORLD.
