Ok, not to sound too whipped but I need a good argument for the wife to get the APR flash. A couple of days age I got the 6 hour free reflash APR programming. SWEET! I want this from now on, unfortunately 600 bucks is not a petty amount of money, and getting the wife on board would really help. Any ideas on how to get her to be more agreeable to this expense?

It's easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.Take as many expensive accessories(jewelry and stuff) she has to equal $600.Then ask how many miles will she get out of those by comparison to your one.Or it's better than blowing it in a tit bar.Tell her it improves the fuel mileage.

Audi of Lexington offers a six hour free trial version of the APR 93 octain reflash. It expired Thursday while I was driving and I swear it suddenly felt like the gas pedal suddenly stopped responding to my small inputs and took more oomph to make the car respond. The increase in hp was about 20% and made the approximate lbs per hp go from 16 to 13. I think the increase in torque was what made it feel really burly though, it was about 40% more than stock.
I called two different Audi dealers in Cincinnati and they both said that they don't offer or recommend reflashing these cars.

Yeah, it's noticeable. One thing I really liked was that I could hear my diverter valves blowing off, something that never happens with the stock tune.
Pet peeve, it seems like Audi should offer reflashes to customer specifications. It seems kind of cheap from such an upmarket brand.
