Default gmatov, this one's for you...

I'm trying to figure out some wiring and your 5000 manuals may help here. If you read some of my other posts, I am attempting to install a Board Computer in my 1988 4cyl 90, and Audi never put one in this car. I hope you can help out here, and I hope that the older models connections will point me in the right direction. The Board Computer from the B3's is similar if not identical to the ones used in the 5000's and I am looking for the pinout, specifically, the 4 pins on connector T4...pins 5, 7, 8, and 9. I have a diagram from the Bentley for the B3, but it shows no connection. I assume that + is battery voltage, - is ground, but where do S and SAS go? Pin 10 is supposed to be fuel consumption from the ECU. The rest of the pins go to the switch on the dash.

1988- board computer

I appreciate any help on this

Rhib,

I have scanned a bunch of the schematics for some others.

I will look, tomorrow, for the pages that may be pertinent, scan and send. My '85 had the trip computer, etc., and I wish my present ' 90 had it.. Hell, I wish I had taken it from my old one before I scrapped it, though the dash did not have the hole to mount it in.

Manana, pal.

Cheers,

George

Rhib,

I can't see the points you want, but I do have 19 pages of schematics scanned, 2.6 megs.

You want them, let me know.

I've recieved mail from others, so I assume my name can be clicked on for address.

Cheers,

George
