someone over at audizine installed a similiar one, the piping on this one seems to short, keeping the cone to close the engine therefore making it hot. try another... something where the cone is further away from the engine closer to the outer banks.

y not get a heatsheild and maybe maybe it wont be a hotairintake. Ive seen a quiet a few guys make there on intake outta simple materials from home depot. I was thinking of doin this with a good heatshied. Look up heathsheild on Audizine and u will see what im talking about. They say the temp with the heatsheild reduces drastically.

you could make that for cheaper. and heatshields dont do jack since the turbo heats the air up and the intercooler cools it back down before it reaches the cylinders

what about in a a4 would it still be close to the banks where it would just be hot around it????

Intake is a waste of money especially on a car without a BT. All you are paying for is sound, your stock intake is quite capable of handling a lot of power. The best intake mod you can do to your car is a heat sheild.
