I thought our tanks were 14.8 or 15 gallons. But what do I know, I never let it go lower than half

My 2.8 goes through 1/4 of a tank from my house to outer Chicago suburbs which at 16 gallons in the tank seems to be 28-30mpg its 118 miles. Thats at 80-90mph the whole way takes just over 2 hours. 32 in the 1.8 sounds about right to me.

when i took my car to Pennsylvania, its like a 400mile round trip. car had a full tank, i think i used a little over a 1/4 to get all the way there with 2 stops and another 1/4 on the way back

Here are people's actual MPGs: http://www.fuelly.com/car/audi/nozero

My a6 2.8 (mind you it weighs 5000lbs) has gotten 28.4 on a very long trip, usually around 22 while driving normally (it's really hilly up here in the U.P.)

If I'm not mistaken the fuel tanks are as follows: FWD is 16.5 Gallons. Quattro is 15.5 gallons. Tank to tank with no real highway driving is 24 to 25 Mpg figured the correct way. Not by computer or miles per tank.
